About me

Shortly after graduating from genetics and molecular biology at Masaryk University in Brno, I joined the founders of the emerging biotech company GeneProof a.s.. Alongside working there, I passed the rigorous exam, receiving a doctoral degree RNDr. from Masaryk University in Brno.

I was intensively involved in developing real-time PCR diagnostics for routine molecular microbiological laboratories. I am the author of many PCR kits by GeneProof a.s. and a co-owner of designed oligonucleotides and real-time PCR probes (PUV 2010-22676), which are still on sale and used by laboratories worldwide. I co-authored the design of a real-time PCR detection system for the HIV-1 virus (PUV 2013-27556). I have focused on optimizing metrological systems in molecular microbiology (sensitivity analysis, specificity, accuracy of quantitative measurements, comparative analysis of diagnostic systems) and the standardization of production and quality control of CE IVD PCR diagnostics.

While working as an R&D manager, my focus shifted to professional implementations of molecular biology methods in customer’s laboratories, solving complex issues and designing professional analyses for routine PCR labs.

Furthermore, the business partners and end-user laboratories demanded professional training in correct practices focused on examining PCR results (especially with regard to human medicine, teaching at universities and the transfer of personal experience at professional conferences).

In 2018, the company's activities expanded to global diagnostic markets, which required increased cooperation with professional laboratories abroad. As a result, a separate Technical Support Department was established, with me in charge. My responsibilities included implementation of PCR diagnostics, lectures and teaching in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and laboratories abroad.

Since 2021, I decided to offer more than fifteen years of personal experience in molecular microbiological diagnostics as an independent analyst for biotechnology companies and diagnostic laboratories.
